ISIS bride jailed for letting slave girl die of thirst

A German jihadi bride who joined Islamic State in Iraq has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for her role in the death of a fiveyear-old Yazidi girl who was chained up in a courtyard and left to die of thirst in 45C heat. Jennifer Wenisch, 30, was convicted of a crime against humanity, as well as of belonging to a terrorist organisation and aiding and abetting attempted murder. Judges in Munich found that the girl had been left ‘‘helpless and defenceless’’ in blazing sun for days, probably as punishment for wetting the bed when she was ill.
