A high school dean denies his driving during a school fundraiser, which ended with multiple people being injured, amounted to careless driving.
Dylan Stuart Kiriona, 42, pleaded not guilty to five charges when he appeared before a registrar in the Levin District Court yesterday.
He denied careless driving injuring four people, as well as a charge of simple careless driving, on April 3 at Horowhenua College.
The charges were laid after an incident police said involved a vehicle towing a trailer.
Young people were trapped under the trailer, with four taken to hospital with various injuries, police said.
Kiriona, who faces up to three months’ prison if convicted, is at large until an administrative hearing in October.
