Crash victim named

The cyclist who died after a collision with a truck has been named by police. Michael Barry, 29, was cycling on State Highway 6 between Baigent Valley Rd and Hoult Valley Rd just before 5pm on Monday when he suffered critical injuries after an accident involving a truck. Police confirmed that Barry, a Wakefield resident, died later that evening. Police said inquiries into the crash were ongoing, and they offered their condolences to Barry’s family.
