You have to time it right to visit this Waikaia museum, because it is only open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. But it is worth it. There are about 2200 objects related to farming, the region’s goldmining past and Chinese settlement, as well as 2800 bottles – not including the 20,000 bottles used in the construction of the attached bottle house.
