What’s the saying? Behind every great man is a great woman… well, never is that truer than The Great, Neon’s stick-withit-because-it’s-actually-very-good series about Catherine The Great and her Royal Russian hubby Emperor Peter III. Absolutely only loosely based on historical fact, but stylised like a Marie Antoinette dream, it’s funny, fiery and filthy (really, utterly filthy at times). Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult (the little kid from About A Boy) shine as the wild pairing.
