Say it LOUD

Embrace the surfing and skating cultures of the past with this fresh take on menswear for summer, writes Zoe Walker Ahwa

Who says menswear can’t be playful? This uniquely colourful streetwear-influenced aesthetic has nods to the skating and surf subcultures of today and yesteryear.

It is a largely unisex look that embraces unexpected colours, textures and accessories, and is epitomised by the patron saint of quirky style, comedian and actor Pete Davidson.

If printed jeans and layers of beaded necklaces feel a bit too much, a boldly coloured shirt – long- or short-sleeved – over summer is a beginner’s way to embrace the vibe.

But the key to pulling it off is confidence, experimentation and a sense of fun.
