Leadership attributes
Surprisingly Brian Collins (letters, Dec 7) thinks being ‘‘politically savvy’’ is the key ingredient for party leadership and prime ministerial credentials.
The rest of us think honesty, integrity, a commitment to democracy and a willingness to put sound business skills into making New Zealand a better place of more value.
We already have a Government that is so ‘‘politically savvy’’ that it can’t give a straight answer to any important questions, sneaks contentious legislation through under urgency in the dead of
night and visits a chiropractor to relocate its necks from so many U-turns.
I know which horse I would rather back.
