Greater ambition

Lowering emissions, lowering emissions, lowering emissions. That’s my mantra and why I applaud our city council for wanting ‘‘greater ambition’’ from the Government (Nov 24).

I do not want greenhouse gases and consequent global temperature to continue to rise. We are in Code Red (IPCC) for survival, and watching Al Jazeera TV I see massive climate-related traumas.

Maybe people here are drowning their anxiety in another purchase of something wrapped in plastic, thinking there is nothing they can do?

Let’s talk about our worries and be grateful for the good things: friends, fun, music and the living world we are a part of. And let’s support all who speak up for greater ambition
