Owen Winstanley’s letter yesterday referred to mispronunciation.

One of these is the constant wrong pronunciation of the word ‘women’.

The plural of ‘woman’ is ‘women’ and should be pronounced ‘wimmin’.

So many broadcast journalists get this wrong.

It is terribly grating to hear someone say multiple woman, even the PM does it. Roy Hilton, Pleasant Point
