Ad annoys

Like Vic Smith (Letters, Jan 27) I am irked by the ad which appears frequently on air regarding the review of speed limits.

In my case, though, it’s the cost of running these ads that irks me as much as the fact that it’s trying to brainwash us and you can hardly pick up the message anyway.

It must be costing us taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars to run these with the frequency with which they appear.

Surely common sense would tell us that Waka Kotahi or whoever are regularly reviewing speed limits without this nonsense ad. Do our public servants think about how they are spending our tax money or do they not care? Wayne Hawkyard, Loburn
