First drive-through clinic for Invercargill

Awarua Whānau Services, in partnership with the Southern Covid-19 Vaccine Rollout Team, will offer Invercargill’s first drive-through vaccination clinic at Stadium Southland from 10am to 5pm today. People can walk in if they don’t have a car. Southern District Health Board vaccine programme lead Karl Metzler said the drive-through clinic made the vaccination more accessible for everyone. There would be a great family atmosphere at the clinic, which is on the Santa parade route, he said. ‘‘When you’re out with your family to see the parade it’s a perfect opportunity to pop in and get your vaccination.’’
