Today’s weather

Weak frontal features affect the east coast of both islands with a moist airmass over much of New Zealand. A weak ridge of high pressure lies across the upper North Island while a second ridge covers the south of the South Island. The slowmoving low-pressure system that lies over New Zealand gradually disperses tomorrow, while a high remains to the southeast. Remnants of the low get more organised on Friday with strengthening northwesterly winds.
