Scaffolding removed

The scaffolding is down on Christchurch’s Old Municipal Chambers and the fencing will be removed soon. The category 1 heritage-listed brick building on Worcester Boulevard, designed by Samuel Hurst Seager and completed in 1887, has undergone strengthening and restoration work after earthquake damage. The building is set to open progressively in the second half of the year, and will be home to an Antarctic Research Legacy Library.
