Breakers guard re-signs

Highly sought-after Aussie combo guard Will McDowell-White had plenty of opportunity to cut his ties after two challenging years with the New Zealand Breakers. But the 24-year-old valuable backcourt impact man has recommitted for one more year with the Kiwi Australian NBL club because he believes in new head coach Mody Maor, because he knows the job is a long way from done and because he still hasn’t had a chance to experience a proper season as a Breaker. ‘‘Mody being the head coach was the No 1 factor for me coming back,’’ McDowell-White said.
