W Ferns to host big two
The White Ferns will host Australia and England in one-day international series as part of the ICC’s expanded Women’s Championship ahead of the 2025 World Cup. The ICC announced yesterday that the championship from 2022-2025 would grow from eight to 10 teams with the additions of Ireland and Bangladesh. Each team will play eight three-match ODI series – four at home and four away – for the chance to qualify directly for the 50-over World Cup. Dates have not been confirmed, but the White Ferns are scheduled to host this year’s World Cup finalists, Australia and England, as well as Bangladesh and Pakistan.
